Prosecution withdraw case following representations on correct approach to the law

Lucy Taylor-Grime represented a business client trading as a hire company who was being prosecuted for permitting one of his hire vehicles to be used with defective tyres. The case was listed for trial before Derby Magistrates’ Court. After detailed representations to the Crown Prosecution Service outlining the relevant legislation in the area the case was reconsidered and discontinued against the client.
Understandably, the client was delighted with the result achieved in his case.
